The Harrowell website describes journal partnerships, publishing operations, technology and specialist publishing support. Its content helps prospective clients understand the areas in which a conversation may be appropriate.

They do not constitute a proposal, commitment to undertake a particular assignment or assurance that every listed activity is appropriate for every journal. An enquiry, email exchange or introductory discussion does not on its own appoint Harrowell or establish a service agreement. Work should proceed against written terms identifying scope, deliverables, fees, responsibilities, dependencies and approval arrangements.
Project milestones, service levels, support periods and commercial terms are agreed for the relevant engagement. If website content differs from a signed agreement, the agreed engagement terms govern the service, subject to applicable law.

Scholarly acceptance and rejection decisions remain with the appropriate editors and journals. Publication support, production work, operational assistance and platform services do not confer editorial approval.

Journal opportunities and introductions
Discussing a journal opportunity does not create a binding acquisition, transition, representation or exclusivity arrangement. The parties must agree authority, confidentiality, due diligence, commercial terms and the relevant responsibilities separately.
Any proposed introduction to a third party should establish what may be disclosed and how that party is involved. Harrowell does not publish confidential opportunity details merely because an owner submits an enquiry.
Website content and client materials
The Harrowell identity and original website content are provided for information about our business. Third-party rights remain with their respective owners. Permission is required before reproducing substantial website material or presenting it as another business’s content.
Ownership and permitted use of client files, publication materials, working documents and commissioned deliverables are addressed in the applicable service agreement. Providing a document for discussion does not transfer its intellectual-property rights.
Responsible use
